You dont mention what year of bmw this is but i would check under the rear seat or in the trunk as well as the drivers side fender well there may be a splash panel there in front of the wheel covering the battery housing. You check the trunk 1st beucase you have to take off the whole base of the back seat to get to the battery and it would be a waste of time if the batter wasnt even there.
